The old ship of the line, ghostly and almost translucent, is towed by a robust steam-powered tugboat towards its last destination, a demolition yard. The contrast between the silent majesty of the three-masted ship and the modern power of the tugboat, whose chimney belches thick black smoke, embodies the transition between the age of sail and the age of steam.
