This foray into the Mediterranean landscape reveals an artist attentive to vernacular architecture and the vegetation characteristic of southern France, where he hoped to find a climate more favorable to his declining health.
The composition revolves around two slender cypresses with dark and majestic silhouettes, their thin trunks stretching vertically before ochre and beige façades with simplified geometric volumes.
