Bathed in golden light and enveloped in silky drapery, a nude woman seen from behind embodies the quintessence of Impressionist sensuality in Nude in a Chair, painted by Pierre-Auguste Renoir in 1900. The female figure, seated on a vermillion red armchair with generous forms, turns her face slightly to the right while her arm rises in a graceful gesture, perhaps to adjust her brown hair gathered in a chignon.
